I have a 95 nissan altima that will turnover but not start, fuel filter?

ran it low on gas one night, not low enough for fuel light to come on. that night was below freezing, tried to crank it the next morning and if wouldnt. put 3 gallons of gas in and it started up, was driving on the interstate for about 10 minutes and my rpm's dropped to 0, even with my foot on the floor. tried to crank it back up and it will only turnover, not fire. how likely is it the fuel filter?I have a 95 nissan altima that will turnover but not start, fuel filter?Not likely. It might be the fuel pump.
