How do you change the fuel filter on a 2001 silverado. and where is the fuel system relay?

i hear u have to unplug the relay..do you realy have to? or just unplug the fuel fuse?How do you change the fuel filter on a 2001 silverado. and where is the fuel system relay?you dont have to disconnect the relay but its a good idea, you should release the pressure on the system so gas does not spray all over the place
