How do you remove the fuel filter from a ford expedition '99/'00 (the tips)?

I can't get the tips from the fuel filter to come out. Do I just pull them out or is the a certain way to do it?How do you remove the fuel filter from a ford expedition '99/'00 (the tips)?You need a fuel line disconnect tool. The metal version looks like scissors and has to small barrels on each end that you slide into the joint and it releases the clips inside. You should be able to find it locally at most parts stores, but I wanted you to have a visual aid It looks like this. You can get the separate plastic line disconnects as well, but they usually break quite easily. You will not break these. I hope this helps.
